History:

USS Enterprise Aircraft Carrier (CVN-65) was the world’s first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier and the eighth U.S. Navy ship to bear the name. Commissioned in 1961, she was built by Newport News Shipbuilding and marked a revolutionary step in naval propulsion and endurance.

At over 1,100 feet long, USS Enterprise Aircraft Carrier (CVN-65) was the longest warship ever built and featured eight nuclear reactors. During her 51 years of service, she played key roles in major conflicts and missions, including the Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam War, and operations in the Middle East. She also participated in humanitarian missions and naval exercises worldwide.
